Tour Summary

Check out the countryside around Hoi An and take to the water in a Vietnamese basket boat on a tour that shows off the charming lands around the city. You can admire the rice paddies along the Thu Bon River, take a ride on a water buffalo, and get a real sense of what the local life is like.

Your guide picks you up from your hotel for the ride to a rice paddy farm, where you can meet with the land's farmer and learn a bit about its signature crop. Climb on the back of a water buffalo for a ride before you move on to a local fishing village for some insight into the industry that supports another of the region's staple foods.

After time to rest with some tea at a local home, you get a quick briefing to prepare for your adventure on the river. Practice your balance on the basket-shaped boat made of woven bamboo, try out your paddling, and set out to see the sights from a whole new perspective. Your tour comes to an end as you join a local family for a traditional meal, and then it's time for the ride back to your hotel.

b)Tour Itinerary:

Following your hotel pick-up in Hoi An at 8 AM, Biking to a rice paddy farm to meet a local farmer and his water buffalo. There, learn more about these animals and how they help in the cultivation of rice farming. You also have chance to riding buffalo for photos. On the way you will go through picturesque countryside roads with the rice field, nipa palm forest, shrimp or fish farm...you will have opportunity to witness local Vietnamese rural life, you can get up close and personal with the daily life of them.

9:30 AM Continue to a local fishing village to discover the local fishing industry and its way of life. Take a rest a local home and enjoy a cup of tea offered by your host.

10 AM Before starting your water adventure on the basket boat, receive safety instructions on how to balance the round basket boat and paddle the proper way. Feel at ease with your provided life jackets and with the support from locals as they help you until you are confident to paddle yourself.

11AM End the tour with a traditional meal at a local home

12 AM we biking back to your hotel.
